Junior to Senior Electrical Engineers

Cleared Recruitment has partnered with a leading Australian engineering organisation delivering complex, high-value electrical solutions across Defence, critical infrastructure and advanced industrial environments. Due to continued project growth, we are seeking Junior to Senior Electrical Engineers with strong technical depth and proven delivery experience to support design, testing, integration and project execution activities.

This role offers the opportunity to work across end-to-end electrical engineering projects, contributing to the design and delivery of mission-critical systems within highly regulated environments.

The Role

Asa key Electrical Engineer in the team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership across electrical design, verification, integration and delivery activities. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers and stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered safely, compliantly and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to electrical system design activities, including LV/HV power systems, switchboards and supporting infrastructure
• Produce and review electrical schematics, calculations, specifications and technical documentation
• Support testing, commissioning and verification of electrical systems, including FAT, SAT and site-based testing activities
• Provide technical input into system integration, ensuring electrical systems interface effectively with mechanical, control and communications systems
• Support project delivery activities, including scheduling, risk identification, change management and technical reviews
• Provide engineering support across the full project lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to installation and in-service support
• Ensure designs and delivered systems comply with relevant Australian standards, Defence requirements and safety frameworks
• Act as a technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and customers as required

Experience & Skills

• 5+ years’ experience in electrical engineering roles within complex or regulated environments
• Strong background in electrical power systems, including UPS systems and standby generators
• Experience delivering or supporting mains switchboard upgrades
• Exposure to or experience in high-voltage (HV) design environments
• Proven capability across electrical design, testing, integration and technical problem solving
• Experience supporting projects within Defence, datacentre or critical infrastructure environments is highly desirable
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams and project environments
• Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Chartered or working towards professional accreditation will be highly regarded

Security Requirements

• Australian Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (NV1 or higher preferred)
